For each section of the test, the actual number of multiple-choice questions you answer correctly per section is your raw score. All multiple-choice questions are worth the same amount\u2014one raw point\u2014and there\u2019s no penalty for incorrect answers. That means you should always fill in an answer for every question regardless of whether you have time to fully invest in that question or not. The arithmetic mean of your scaled scores from the Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Reading Comprehension, and Quantitative Reasoning sections of the DAT makes up your Academic Average score. Dental schools generally consider the Academic Average\u00a0to be the most important\u00a0score from the DAT when considering whether to admit a student or not.
