In fact, it\u2019s highly unlikely that the questions will be presented to you in a confidence-inspiring, point-building, time-saving order. There is good news, though: You are free to navigate the section in a manner that highlights your strengths and downplays your weaknesses. All of the multiple-choice questions carry the same weight so you don\u2019t get extra credit for correctly answering a hard question. In the end, colleges will never know which questions you answered correctly. Each Stand-Alone question covers a specific topic, and then the next Stand-Alone hits a different topic. The question stem may be as short as a single sentence, but it is not uncommon to see multiple paragraphs for a single question! In addition to words, many question stems will be accompanied by an equation, table, graph or figure. AB+energy<\/span><span class=\"s2\">\u2192<\/span><span class=\"s1\">A+B<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Which of the following best characterizes the reaction represented above?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">(A) Anabolism<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s1\">(B) \u00a0Endergonic reaction <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"s1\">(C) \u00a0Exergonic reaction <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">(D) Hydrolysis<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">You get some information to start with, and then you\u2019re expected to answer the question. The number of the question, 22, makes no difference because there\u2019s no order of difficulty on the AP Biology exam. Tough questions are scattered between easy and medium questions. <\/span><\/p>\n<div  style='padding-bottom:10px; ' class='av-special-heading av-special-heading-h3    avia-builder-el-4  el_after_av_promobox  el_before_av_promobox  '><h3 class='av-special-heading-tag '  itemprop=\"headline\"  >Data Questions<\/h3><div class='special-heading-border'><div class='special-heading-inner-border' ><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Just as the name suggests, a group of two to five questions is preceded by data in one form or another. The data might be a simple sentence or two, but usually it is something more complex, such as: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">A description of an experiment (50\u2013200 words), often with an accompanying illustration <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">A graph or series of graphs <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">A large table <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"s1\">A diagram <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"s1\">The next question is a sample Data question.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n\t<div   class='av_promobox  avia-button-no   avia-builder-el-5  el_after_av_heading  el_before_av_hr '>\t\t<div class='avia-promocontent'><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Question 45\u00a0<\/b>refers to the following graphs. In a Stand-Alone question, you will analyze the data then answer a single question.
